Tree Walk at Sion Fort
The Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Garden, most popularly known as Sion Fort is situated in the heart of the city. This 17th-century fort harbours a variety of indigenous and exotic trees in the garden surrounding the fort. Trees like False Ashoka, Fish-tailed Palm, Christmas Tree (Araucaria), Cannonball Tree, Breadfruit Tree, Country Fig, Ghost Tree, Wild Almond, and ficus species can been seen during the trail
Grade: Easy (2–3 km of easy walk)
Reporting: In front of Sion Fort Main Gate, at 8:30 a.m. The programme will conclude between 10:30-11 a.m.
Charges: Rs. 700/- for members, Rs. 800/- for others.
Cost includes: Entry ticket/permission charges (if any) and BNHS expertise only.
