Biodiversity assessment projects

Some of the projects undertaken in 2017-18 were:

• Baseline documentation of flora and fauna of Karnala Bird Sanctuary (KBS) and Navi Mumbai International airport (NMIA) project area for the preparation of conservation and preservation plan. 
• Establishment of mangrove patch on the estuarine bank along the seashore of the exclusive zones of the NPCIL, Kudankulam, to provide critical habitat for the marine organism. 
• Biodiversity study of Mahendragiri (ISRO).
• Biodiversity documentation of JSW, Vijaynagar Township.
