Basic Ornithology Certificate course conducted by ENVIS

ENVIS RP on Avian Ecology, Bombay Natural History Society (BNHS) organized a Certificate course on Bird Identification and Basic Ornithology under the Green Skill Development Programme (GSDP). Duration of the course was approximately a month which was from 06 August 2018 till 27 August 2018. Ten eligible participants were chosen from various states of India.

This course was led by Dr. Girish Jathar (ENVIS Coordinator) and the ENVIS team i.e. Mr. Sagar Satpute (Programme Officer), Ms. Sushmita Karmakar (Information Officer) & Ms. Heta Akolkar (IT Officer). Experts included in this course were Dr. Rajat Bhargava, Dr. Raju Kasambe, Mr. Vithoba Hegde, Mr. Rohan Bhagat, Ms. Akshaya Mane, Ms. Parveen Shaikh, Mr. Mandar Sawant & Mr. Omkar Joshi.

The highlight of this course was the visit of Dr. Anandi Subramanian, Principal Advisor, MoEF&CC and Mr. Kumar Rajnish, National Programme Coordinator, ENVIS Cell, MoEF&CC.
