Flamingo and Wetland Bird Walk at NRI – Evening Trail
Each year the city plays host to the Lesser and Greater flamingos. Nerul Wetland is an ideal site to watch these pink beauties. One can see waders like Marsh Sandpiper, Common Redshank, Common Greenshank, Black-tailed Godwits along with bird species like White-eared Bulbul, Green Bee-eater, Baya Weaver, Painted Stork, Black-crowned Night-Heron, and Purple Sunbird. One can also spot waterfowls like Northern Pintail, Northern Shovellers, Gadwall, Green-winged Teal, and Indian Spot-billed Duck.
Grade: Easy (1–2 km undulating walk)
Reporting: At 04:00 p.m. at the main gate of Seawood Estates. The programme will conclude by 6:00 p.m.
Charges: Rs 600/- for BNHS members and Rs 700/- for others.
