Migrant Watch (NRI)

During winters the city plays host to a plethora of migratory birds. The Nerul Wetland is a wonderful site to watch, see and study cryptic birds like plovers, stints and sandpipers. Among these, are threatened birds like Black-headed Ibis, Painted Stork and Black-tailed Godwit; and waterfowls like Northern Shoveller, Common Teal, Garganey, and Northern Pintail. Occasionally, both Lesser and Greater Flamingos can also be seen here. Join us to learn about these travellers of the bird world.
