BNHS CEC is happy to announce the admissions for Field Course in Botany (FCB) for the year 2018–19. The course includes inaugural and wrap-up camps, field visits around Mumbai and a field camp to any floral habitat across India.

What is “Field Course in Botany” and what are its benefits?

  • A course focused on field study in botany.
  • The duration of the course is 2 months (August 2018 and September 2018)
  • Covers topics such as morphology of plants, distinguishing characteristics of families and key identifications of dominating families.
  • One field camp, six field visits, two indoor sessions and project work
  • Certificate from BNHS after successful completion

Who can enroll?

  • Anyone with an interest in plants
  • Basic qualification is Class 10 (any board)

What are the course deliverables?

The course has 6 field visits out of which 4 are compulsory. Participants are expected to attend the inaugural, wrap-up and 1 field camp. Project work is an integral part of the course and involves submitting a project report at the end of the course.

What is the course fee?

The course fee is Rs. 6,000, which includes BNHS expertise, study material and refreshments in the inaugural and wrap-up camps. The field camp will be charged separately. BNHS members and students can avail 10% discount on the course fee only.
